How authors can use Text Expander software to save time and improve accuracy.

Authors! This 7-min vid will save you buckets of time in the long run. Grab a cuppa and have a watch.

Created using ClipChamp. Autocaptions are pretty accurate but not perfect.

This post is about Text Expander software, which I can see being super useful to some of you. đź‘€

For instance, say you have a character called Kaitlyn, and most of the time you remember to type K-a-i-t-l-y-n, but sometimes you accidentally type K-a-i-t-l-i-n. With a shortcut set up on your computer such as ;K, you’ll never type it wrong again. (This will make sense if you watch the vid.)

Time saver! Accuracy ensurer!

I promise this isn’t an advert. I’ve just never heard authors mention this kind of software, and I could see it having many potential uses.

What d’ya reckon?
