Want a phone conversation to chat about your editing needs? That’s fine. And it’s also fine if you’d rather not!

We profess that email and messaging is so much more convenient than a phone call. But is it?

I speak as someone who almost always uses email. But I had a business phone conversation this week and it was so successful that it has made me reflect.

There’s a lot of to-ing and fro-ing with messaging. Plus the potential for misunderstanding where nuances can be lost in written communication (yes, even with emojis.)šŸ˜‰.

We got so much done. We came to understand each other’s drive . I truly think that it would take considerably longer over email for us to develop the same level of professional relationship.

My communication with authors is still likely to be dominated by messaging, email and so on. šŸ’»

But perhaps I’m a convert to the good old fashioned phone conversation. ā˜Žļø

What do you think? Are you comfortable on the phone?

Let me know if you’d ever like a 10-minute chat to discuss your proofreading or editing needs.
