Go get ’em, tiger. How to punctuate contractions correctly.

Today’s tip is a little thing to be aware of. If you find what I say fiddly or you think you’re likely to forget about it, don’t worry too much. It’s something your editor will spot.

But since we don’t run everything we write past an editor/proofreader, it’s perhaps worth knowing.

Be sure to contract words using an apostrophe not an opening quotation mark. Quick tip: hit ALT+0146.
