Should you read The War of Art to help you get past writer’s block? After careful consideration: Yes!

I read it in a day.

Many people had recommended it to me.

Will I recommend it to you…?

😬😅

Well…

Yes.

It’s certainly something.

Definitely some thought-provoking ideas in there. I think ‘provocative’ is probably a good word for it.

What did it provoke in me?

  • Moments of absolute agreement
  • Mind-blown realisations
  • Moments of astonishment
  • Snorts of laughter
  • Introspection
  • Disbelief
  • Admiration
  • Derision
  • Inspiration

So, a total mixed bag.

But, I am feeling like I want to break through any remaining blocks that stand between me and the success I want in my career. 👊

🤷‍♀️ So, my overall reaction to it must be positive.

It’s worth reading for this alone: ⬇️

“Fear is good. Like self-doubt, fear is an indicator. Fear tells us what we have to do. Remember one rule of thumb: the more scared we are of a work or calling, the more sure we can be that we have to do it.”
